I've been in the BPO industry for 12 years. As an experienced Chat/email support, Customer Service and Tech Support, Financial account, Healthcare account, I was also a Team Lead Supervisor, in which I used to handle 16 agents in a team. Being an experienced customer service, one has to provide great service and product knowledge. As frontliner, we need to be able to know what specific product, what type of customers we are dealing with and what services we need to provide. As a customer service, you need to know as well, the features and the benefit of a certain product.
